Prof. M. Klasztorny, born in 1951, is a Polish scientist and educator. His current status is professor emeritus in civil and mechanical engineering. He obtained the M.Sc. title in civil engineering (1972), the Ph.D. degree in civil engineering (1977), the D.Sc. degree in civil engineering (1987), the professor title in technical sciences/civil engineer-ing (2002). Prof. M. Klasztorny is an author/co-author of 252 publications including: monographs (3), publications in international / national journals (141), book chapters (12), publications in international / national conference proceedings (92), handbooks (4). Almost half of his publications develop the mechanics (elasticity and rheology) of thermoset polymers, unidirectional fibre-reinforced thermoset matrix composites, and fibre-reinforced thermoset matrix laminates, as well as numerical modelling and simulation of structures made of such laminates. His other main activities / accomplishments are: a head / principal investigator / researcher in national research projects (22), a promoter of Ph.D. dissertations (7), an assistant promoter of Ph.D. dissertations (6), a scientific editor of monographs (16), undergraduate / engineering / graduate education (>15,000 students over 1972-2019), a chairman / scientific secretary / member of scientific / organizational committees of national / international conferences (55), a deputy head of Department of Mechanics and Applied Computer Science, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Military University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland (2008-2014), an associate dean of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Military University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland (2016-2019).

Dr. D. Nycz born in 1985, is a Polish scientist, educator and senior CAE engineer. He is prof. M. Klasztorny’s scientific alumni. His past affiliations (employment) are: DES ART Co.
